Hiking up the Quetzal Trail near Boquete in Chiriquí province, Panama in 2014, Connie and I found a leaf that somebody might have cut to use as a makeshift umbrella. The trail goes ten miles through some exotic cloud forests on the Northern slopes of Volcan Baru, Panama's highest mountain, and we saw many birds and other wildlife during this hike. This was some of the wettest, wildest terrain we encountered on our many outings into the rainforests of the Republic of Panama. I've posted some more photos from this hike. |
